If you're just looking for a basic place to stay while you explore the sights, the Cataluña is fine - clean, not too noisy, and in a great location. Our room was compact, to say the least, with a fairly small double bed and very basic bathroom, but it was comfortable. The rate includes a simple breakfast which you have in a bar across the road. For a bed in the heart of the city, this hotel is a safe bet.
